In a swedish online news site I found this interesting article about
apps that will help you quit smoking or "snusa". You download the app
and it will give you information you dont wanna know about your habit but also
of course ways to avoid taking that ciggarete. Most of them coast money but
one, an english version called "Stop smoking" is free. Try it! I
downloaded it and besides the weird woman voice telling you stuff it could
acutally work. I mean, you want to be healthy so smokers give it a try!

This years christmas gift
This is just a what do you think kinda a post. I read this article on how maybe tablets will be this years gift. Before we were relating tablets to Ipad, but now there is a lot of different types, some are shit and some you can get for a good price and they will work well. The iPad still dominates the market with a 50 percent share, according to third-quarter figures from the research firm IDC, but that is down from 60 percent a year ago. Samsung is in second place with an 18 percent share, Amazon is third with 9 percent, and Asus, which makes Google’s Nexus 7 tablet, is in fourth with 8.6 percent of the market. But like I said iPad is a bit expensive so people may choose another one. More of these theories will come out now that Christmas is getting closer, just goanna have to wait and see I guess!
Buy a new Ipad get a used one..
Good afternoon!
Reading todays paper, or actually online I came across this interesting and kinda funny article. It is about this girl who went to a electronic store to buy are Ipad, but when she got home she realized that it was full of porn! The guy or girl who had it before her was still online on her/his facebook and all this other stuff. Of course when she went back there they gave her a new one and everything was fine but when thinking about this further Im just wondering how much of the stuff we buy is really new? How do we know? form the box or what? I mean I could cover up that pretty well I believe. Do u believe everything we buy is new?
Just a thinker, kinda scary or freaky when thinking about it... :))

KHNL VISIT
Goooood morning Hawaii!
Got up super early to go to the Hawaii news station in Downtown, we were not super many but I'm suprised so many was there. Got there by 6 and stayed for like 1,5 hours ish... The visit was fun and for me who is interested in Tv production I found very intereseting to see how it works here in America, beacuse I have only been in Sweden seeing these types of production.
I took some photos while I was there as well, kinda cool seeing her on the news later at the gym knowing I just saw her in real life hehehee.....
It was a great start and I think that it would be fun to to this type of things more often. If you are interested in this field you kinda get a boost from it. But it is crazy how much they have to remember and the stress, you have to really be able to handle that.
I liked to visit alot even though I had to go up at 5 it was worth it! :))

Fake accounts
A few weeks ago I found this article on a Swedish newspaper site that somebody created this Facebook page but it was fake, but what "they" did was that they posted that special famous candy store were giving out free candy all day or if it was during a specific hour so a whole lot of people rush down there and they were demanding their candy!! This is so crazy, we could create a fake company, a fake person and nobody would know. Of course that candy store got in contact with Facebook telling them to close down the page.. so it all worked out. I just read in New york times about the same thing, and the trubble Facebook is having about this. Cuz they dont really know how to sort this out.. they cant demand like a document or something beacuse Facebook is for everybody right?
Facebook says it has always taken the problem seriously, and recently stepped up efforts to cull fakes from the site. “It’s pretty much one of the top priorities for the company all the time,” said Joe Sullivan, who is in charge of security at Facebook.
So is it right or wrong of Facebook to decline people any form of money or maybe just a sorry? In personal opinion Iam kind of in the middle, Facebook is the easiest social network we have out there and I would love to fint out how many accounts that are actually real or not! Just something to think about! :)

The top one, or I think it is, is the "find my Iphone" app. It locates your Iphone anywhere and it peeps when you are close. Pretty cool and I will download and install that right away, pretty handy here in Hawaii beacuse there is a lot of sand and phones easily gets lost!!

News travells fast
After this super dramatic crazy weekend I feel that I have to write something about it. Saturday the one of the two days that Honolulu/Waikiki are celebrating Halloween. Everybody is super exited and the party is just getting started and the freaking Tsunami warning alarm sets off!! For me and my friends who have not been here when this happens what to do is confusing. Some are staying kind of ignoring it and some are running to the mountains packing everything they have. I actually found about it over a text, then one minute later a call, and then 4 minutes later I head somebody talking about it on the street. After about 30-40 minutes I actually looked it up myself. The news were totally confusing that night because it said that it was only 1-2 meters waves coming in and that you could hang around in Waikiki but then why was everybody going up to the mountains and the fire trucks going around screaming “leave Waikiki”. My dad from Sweden looked up news from back home and was a better source then the radio or news online. Media has that effect on people and I got that know. Of course if this kind of thing happens again I will take it serious but I will also not let Media ruin my night. Why we trust media is a huge question I like to have the answer to, they should bring correct news but when they don’t know much they just excaudate everything and get people freaked out.
I found this
video on YouTube, this is the Tsunami, and yeah if the waves were 5-6 meters evacuating
Waikiki would be a good idea, but for this one? Nope.

netflix
Netflix is this awesome online movie website where you pay $8 a month and you get movies, tv shows and documentries any time you want. I have it my self and I love it! So now Netflix has agreed to caption, have subtitles, on all of its shows by the year 2014. Of course it is good, now the people who cant hear can enjoy it but I like the fact that it's not, its better for me so I learn at the same time. Apparently they got sued for not having it so as part of the consent decree, Netflix will pay $755,000 to plaintiffs' lawyers who prosecuted the lawsuit, as well as $40,000 for the decree to be implemented over the next four years. Maybe this is not the biggest news of the year, but it is some news so be glad you know this for 2014.. it will be super important. (heheehehee)
Ipad mini!!!!
Apple will hold an event October 23 in California, and the company is expected to unveil a smaller, cheaper version of its popular iPad. Most observers believe it will be priced under $300, which is a better price for those like myself who cant afford a Ipad.. I could not find much more about this, but at least now we know and we will just wait and see how it works :)
Apple sent this invite to members of the media. The graphics offer few clues as to what the company may announce
Music
We got Itunes, that is usually our music player in our computer right? All the time new things, ideas or upgrades is discovered. This week we will be introduced to a new music source, Xbox music. Microsoft is once again in search of a hit in digital music. Xbox Music will offer access to a global catalog of about 30 million songs. It will let consumers listen free to any song on computers and tablets running the latest version of its Windows software, as well as on the Xbox console. Microsoft will not initially limit how much music can be streamed, though that could change over time, like it always is. It will be exactly like Spotify, free for a while then they made a premium account but you could still go online and listen to free music, now? Well now you have to have a Spotify account because you can only listen to the songs 5 times or so before you realize you have to buy it for $10 a month.. So my guess, Xbox music, I give it 4 months then it will cost money to have it.
What does Google know about you, really?!
What does Google know about you, and where do they save this information. European privacy regulators warned the company Google to clarify those issues or risk fines or other penalties by early next year. Apparently Larry Page, the chief executive of Google, got letters saying that 27 European data-protection agencies asked the company to modify its global privacy policy that governs dozens of Google online services including the Android mobile phone apps and YouTube videos, just so that we would get at better understanding of what kind of information is being collected.
Last winter Google introduced the privacy policy, and if everybody would read the terms before clicking the "I Agree" button I think that you would be super suprised of what you'r actually saying yes to. And in keeping with European privacy law, Google said it was collecting the data only if users “opted in.”, by that I mean click "I Agree".
This whole Google, Facebook thing is going to be a war forever, new issues will always come up and they will eather pay the person to be quiet beacuse they can or just make up a new rule.

Tweet debate
During the first presidental the Tweets were going crazy!! Twitter users send record 10.3 million tweets during presidential debate. With their iPads and cell phones, millions of people virtually joined the candidates on the debate stage, analyzing their every word in real time. It is so funny that people gets involved, and that it becomes a debate online beacuse people dont agree with each other of course..
I found some funny comments that people wrote on Twitter:
Even a Swedish girl comments:
Linnéa Sandström -- Romney has a bigger US flag pin than Obama. The debate is over? #debates
Marc Lombardi -- The debate would be much more interesting & informative if a buzzer went off every time an untrue statement was made. #debates
Jim Sterling -- Obama is winning in the "Looking amazingly condescending when the other guy
talks" race. #debates
Are You Italian? -- The debates in my house are much louder. #2012debate
I had to write about this, thought it was really funny!!

FAAAACEBOOOK
Facebook, Facebook aaaaaaand Facebook. Every page I been to now (three) hehe is showeing some kind of news about Facebook. I found this article about Facebook-moms; I thought it was very funny. I have always wondered why my mom has Facebook. Is she online every day, does she have a lot of friends that she want to stay connected to through Facebook, the answer to all of these questions is no. I know that she got Facebook to check in on me and I find it mean to push the so called “not now” bottom, she is still my mom right. So check out this awesome chart and find your mom, where does she fit in or maybe she is all of them?
The Type
|
Who She Is
|
Typical Status
|
The Do It All Mom
|
Juggles her kids, her husband, maybe a career... but definitely a triathalon, home cheesemaking and sixteen fundraisers just this month. Bizarrely, the way she communicates her prowess online is by detailing what she made for dinner.
|
Steak au poivre with (homemade!) blue cheese sauce and strawberry soufflé for dessert! Tomorrow is Lobster Thermidor and Baked Alaska! Mmm... who's coming over?
|
The Gave Up Her Corporate Career to Stay Home Mom
|
Even without all your clever workplace word wizardry, we get it. This is harder.
|
My 10:00 pooped his pants... looks like I'm the executive vice president of Stain Removal today.
|
The Deal-Mongering Mom
|
Why are there so many logos in my news feed? It's because this mom is hitting "like" on every big box store and claiming every single deal out there, not to mention asking you to mail her your extra Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons. Girl, get your cyber-mitts off my 20% off-ers!
|
Thanks, (Name of Fast Food Chain/ Airline/ Department Store)!
|
The Hipster Mom
|
The mom who wants to tell the world, "Yeah, I have a baby, but I also basically invented both Etsy and the term 'farm-to-table.'"
|
(No text, just a photo of the kid in only a diaper and headphones, sitting amongst stacks of records. Kid may or may not have a mustache and an ironic rat tail.)
|
The Quote-y Mom
|
See also: The Deep Thinker Mom. As you read this, this mom is more than likely posting a) an amazingly poignant Elie Wiesel power quote b) an amazingly poignant video about how powerful girls are or c) a video of a dog and a fish making out.
|
"Children's talent to endure stems from their ignorance of alternatives." -- Maya Angelou
|
The Guilt Complex Working Mom
|
No one's judging you... except you.
|
OMG... check out this video the nanny sent! So cute! I've watched it 100 times today at my desk. (Note: Video is of the kid just sitting there. Doing nothing. Frankly, I've seen sandwiches more talented and effervescent than little Jimmy is.)
|
The Sexy and I Know It Mom
|
Yes, you know it. We don't need to.
|
Hanging on to the last days of summer! Yee-haw! (Accompanied by photo of kids splashing in backyard sprinkler -- wait a -- Is that Mom in a bikini in the background? Really? That's the ONLY good picture of the kids frolicking?)
|
The Munchausen Mom
|
If I didn't know better, I'd say this mom loves taking care of her sick kids more than anything. You know what I'd love more than anything? For her to spare us the details.
|
Dylan's phlegm is finally back from Mountain Dew color to more of an oyster-ish hue, but Jasmine's eyes were crusted closed this morning. At least we're done dealing with the fallout from that bad shrimp salad! Phew!
|
The Under The Radar Mom
|
Wait, is she even still on Facebook? You wouldn't know, because this mom just posts every once in a blue moon.
|
Can't believe the twins are 12. Last time I posted was right around the time that new Matthew Perry show was starting! (Note: This mom is so under the radar, she doesn't know Matthew Perry has a new show every year.)
|
The I Have a Cat-Baby Mom
|
Just tell her the cat's cute already. You know it would mean so much to me -- I MEAN "HER."
|
Paco sooooo thinks he's a baby! Look at him wearing that tiny sailor suit and riding around in his Bugaboo!

Shop online or even thorugh your phone
I just read an article on the website socialmediatoday.com about how many people that are using their phones to shop online. comScore released the results from the latest market study of U.S. which found that 4 in every 5 people which is 85.9 million in total. The leading site is Amazon with an audience of 49.6 million visitors, that is craaaazy. comScore says that adapting to today's online retail environment requires optimizing the experience across multiple platforms, both for mobile websites and apps. Companies and retailers that understand how much people are using online shopping nowdays are designing better user experiences which then of course benefits the stores.
If I were to speculate in the future, future online shopping will become "the thing". People are already now showing how lazy we are ordering a workout dvd to our homes instead of going to the gym with people around us. And nowdays when online shopping already is good and easy I believe that in the future you will be able to buy anything and you would not even have to go outside your door. It is just a matter of time, somebody has to invent a smart way to do this.. Im totally goanna work on a idea :)
